What EBTNearMe does
EBTNearMe is a public directory of EBT-authorized retailers across the United States. It lets you search by zip code, city name, or store name to find grocery stores, farmers markets, and other SNAP-eligible retailers near you. No account required. No data collected beyond what's needed to serve the search.
The directory covers all 50 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands — more than 256,000 locations where SNAP benefits can be used.
Who this is for
SNAP recipients, family caregivers managing benefits for a household, social workers helping clients locate nearby stores, and anyone researching EBT retailer coverage in a given area. The site is free, requires no login, and does not ask for your EBT card number or any benefit information.
Where the data comes from
Store listings are sourced from the USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) SNAP Retailer Locator database — the same federal dataset that powers the official SNAP retailer search on benefits.gov. The USDA FNS authorizes and tracks every retailer approved to accept EBT; this site indexes that data and makes it searchable by location.
One practical note: the USDA dataset is updated periodically, not in real time. A store may have recently lost its authorization, changed ownership, or closed since the last data pull. Always call ahead before making a trip specifically for EBT purchases.
How to search
Enter a zip code, city name, or partial store name in the search bar. You can filter results by state. The "Use my location" button sends your GPS coordinates to find stores closest to you — that request stays in your browser and is not logged on our end.
