EBTNearMe is a public store directory. No accounts, no logins, no profiles. This policy covers the limited data that passes through the site.
What we collect
When you submit a store update suggestion, the form records your IP address and browser user agent. That's it. We don't collect your name, email, EBT card number, or any personally identifying information unless you voluntarily include it in a message.
Standard server logs capture IP addresses and request metadata for all site visitors. These logs are used for security monitoring and are not linked to individuals for marketing purposes.
How it's used
IP address and user agent data from update submissions are used solely for spam prevention and abuse detection. We do not sell, share, or otherwise transfer this data to third parties except as required by law.
Cookies
The site sets a session cookie to handle CSRF protection on forms. It expires when you close your browser. No tracking cookies are set by this site.
Google Analytics is active on this site (ID: G-B1K08JMYEQ). Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data including pages visited, time on site, browser type, and approximate location (city/region level). Google's data collection is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Third-party services
Maps on store pages use Leaflet with tiles from OpenStreetMap. OpenStreetMap's tile servers may receive your IP address when map tiles load. The "Get directions" links open Google Maps in a new tab — Google's privacy policy governs any data collected on their site.
Neither OpenStreetMap nor Google Maps receives your EBT or benefit information from us. We don't have it.
Data retention
Store update request submissions are retained for operational purposes — to track corrections and follow up on data quality issues. Server logs are retained for 90 days.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
